We Visited Singapore During A Public Holiday

Assalamualaikum and Hello guys!

Where would you like to travel if our MCO is lifted in the future? I would love to visit Singapore again, simply because the country is near to us and they have so many attractions for such a small country. Plus, it is so easy to commute between places by only using public transport.

I remember my family trip to Singapore a few years back when we visited during a Public Holiday Singapore, on the 53rd Singapore National Day. It was a great experience to see how Singaporeans celebrate their country's birthday.

Similar to Malaysia, Singapore’s National Day is the annual celebration of independence on 9th August every year. For the occasion, the city displays an ocean of flags while patriotic songs fill the air. The people were all kitted out in red and white, joining the National Day Parade (NDP).

For easier commute around Sentosa Island, my family and I decided to check in at Resorts World Sentosa. These days, preferred hotels can be easily found through websites and travel apps. We can also easily compare prices on different hotels and read reviews from guests who have stayed there.

Reading reviews really helped us to choose the right hotel which suits our budget and expectations. Moreover, it will be helpful for us to manage and plan our trip if we are staying near the area that we want to explore. We can also save our time and energy by staying near the area that we want to go.

It was such a fun experience for us to explore Resorts World Sentosa. We spent 2 days visited Universal Studios Singapore, Palawan Beach and Singapore Butterfly & Insect Kingdom at Sentosa Island, Singapore.

We wanted to visit Sentosa Nature Discovery, but since it was already late and the discovery closes at 5PM, we decided to hangout and have a little picnic near Palawan beach. Of course, we could not miss the opportunity of taking photos at the popular "The Southernmost Point of Continental Asia" spot.

We were so lucky that we could visit the wax museum here, Madame Tussauds Singapore. To be honest, it was quite expensive, especially for a family of 7 like us, but it was so worth it. London is too far away and this was a golden opportunity.

Going to Madame Tussauds Singapore was such an awesome and fun experience. We had the chance to 'meet'  so many personalities, world leaders, and artists like Gandhi, Queen Elizabeth,  Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, and my favourite, Taylor Swift!

Meanwhile, my mom got so excited when we get into the Bollywood theme area. She was so excited on taking photos with Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai. We also took some photos with the world's biggest stars like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo Dicaprio and Michelle Yeo.

Abah and Mama also did the hand wax couple thing to bring back as souvenir. It was so heavy to carry around, so I 'command' my young sis and bro to take turns to carry that thing so it is fair and square for everyone. Haha.

I just wanted to post this photo here. My sis, Zakirah got kicked.

Nahh, I'm kidding, she was actually trying to take a photo with Bruce Lee but it looks so real. She is such a great impersonator. This photo is so funny. Haha. We actually managed to get many great photos inside, but this is enough for now :)

Overall, I really loved our family trip to Singapore. Singapore is a good place to visit even if you have a big family like mine. It is so easy to travel and commute using public transports like bus and train. I actually planned this trip myself just by looking at the information online.

I really hope that we can fight Covid-19 soon. I miss traveling and visiting other countries and also meeting new friends along the way. Singapore is one of the country that is on my list to visit again in the future. I might wanna start planning in case we can travel again :)

Till then,
Zayani Zulkiffli.

I hope I could bring my children and family to visit SIngapore too one day especially the Universal Studio. :) But in view of the worsening pandemic, that might still take some time.
I've had so many travel plans cancelled due to the pandemic. Although Singapore isn't exactly my favorite country, I wouldn't mind it if we had a travel bubble with them right now, if it means I could travel again.
